Sonic Advent Calendar!
Every day between now and Christmas I will be drawing a brand new picture, based off of Sonic the Hedgehog! I'll be picking 25 games, comics, cartoons, or whatever, and drawing something based on it in the run up to Christmas
No, you can't suggest a picture, they're a surprise! Check back each day for a new door, they won't be uploaded at a set time, but they'll be there 
I suddenly came up with this idea just as I was leaving for work, hence the 1st 'door' being late, but I'll be doing the second one when I wake up
December 1st:

Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog, the game that started it all, was an obvious choice for the first door!
Released on 23rd June 1991, Sonic the Hedgehog was a platforming game starring this little blue dude with an attitude that we all grew to love. I'm sure none of us realised back then just how big the little guy would get over the next 20 years: Sure, he's had a few trips along the way but there's still something about him that keeps people holding on.
If you've never played the original game but wish to, there are plenty of ports available for the console of your choice

I jumped on the fan train late (it was 1992 and the second game was starting to make waves). But indeed once I got a Genesis for my Birthday and played this for the first time. I was hooked and thus the long road with the series began.
