Here with Friends

Pic I've been working on for a few days since I was feelin kinda guilty for neglecting the other fanart I draw with too many ponies >_>; Started this before the species swap pics and this was actually what gave me the idea, with the tower format

sketch was done on paper, then inked and coloured digitally with a combination of SAI and Photoshop.

There's a reason the characters are actually in that order XD; Twilight is capable of carrying a huge rock that's larger than her even without her magic, so I put her at the bottom. She's reading while Spike writes

Spyro at least had the decency to help out by resting half himself on the floor; I think he's slightly lighter than Twilight is (due to needing to fly and all that). He's strong too though, on account of being a dragon and able to charge his way through large enemies and walls! He's talking with Sparx as the dragonfly brings him a pretty gem!

Sonic is standing on Spyro's back/foreleg, as he's the middleweight. He's just laughing at the random Chao while letting NiGHTS balance really REALLY stupidly on his hand XD

NiGHTS is perched on Sonic's hand, rather pointlessly as he doesn't even need to touch the ground. I guess he just wanted to join in He's reclining lazily and talking to that happy looking Nightopian.

Danny's floating at the top, not touching anyone (lol ghost) as he's the lightest He's carrying the Ghost Dog, Cujo, who looks quite content with the cuddle (though his legs are awkwardly placed!)
